Personal recommendations that don’t seem to high on their lists:

- Museum of Occupation and Freedom Struggles - Vilnius, Lithuania

- KGB Building - Riga, Latvia

- House of Terror Museum - Budapest, Hungary

——

There is always an understanding in the west of the atrocities committed by Nazi Germany and the holocaust.

What the Soviets were doing though was equally as horrifying, and had their own concentration camps (gulags) and were doing essentially the same thing.

It’s very sobering seeing the depths that organized people will go to in order to persecute their own people and even their own families and the conditions they are willing to put their fellow humans in.

Rwanda genocide museum is probably the top of the list for me in this category, but it’s also very high on their list.. the others I mentioned don’t seem to be ranked as high.
